Let’s Talk About Collin County Home Painting
Collin County Home Improvers
Meet Collin County. This burgeoning county has close to 1 million residents, and is still one of the fastest growing counties in all of Texas. There seems to be no end in sight for the economic boon this area will receive from the influx, with cities like Frisco and McKinney seeing the most impact. This favorable financial windfall sees new opportunities for businesses to thrive, and in turn, hire more employees who will move to the area and plant roots. While some will simply rent a place, many will firmly plant those roots through buying a home in this county’s ever-expanding real estate market. New homeowners will begin forays into the home improvement realm, making countless trips to Home Depot and Lowes, binge-watching DIY videos on YouTube, and, if they really value their investment, connecting with local contractors to handle the bigger remodel jobs.
If you are one of these Collin County homeowners, then upgrading your house is likely on your mind more often that not. Whether or not you’re able to do something about it is another story. That requires time, which many of us find is in short supply. However, there’s hope through companies like ours right here in Frisco, Rock Painting and Gutters. We’ve served as Collin County home painters for several years now, seeing customer after customer rest at ease when they see our competitive prices and unmatched workmanship. It’s because your busy schedule doesn’t give you enough time to do something like paint the exterior of your home that we specialize in it.
Collin County House Painting
This next part may seem a little basic, but we’re going to quickly break down the two types of house painting so everyone’s on the same page.
Exterior House Painting
This, like the name implies, means painting the outside of your home. But, it’s not just slapping some color on with a brush like Tom Sawyer whitewashing Aunt Polly’s fence. Believe it or not, there’s an art to painting a house correctly.
Unless the house is brand new, chances are the old paint on the siding or brick has chips or debris that has to be removed first. This is done through various methods to scrape and wash the surface clean in order to be able to apply the new paint – of which there are likely to be several layers added to achieve the right hue and lasting durability.
Interior House Painting
You guessed it! This means painting the inside of your home. It could involve the walls, floors, and/or ceiling, depending on the particular job. Like with exterior painting, any loose paint chips and such needs to be scraped and cleaned away before any primer or layers of color can be added. Again, this may involve several layers to achieve the color you want and the lasting protection you need.
How Much Does House Painting Cost?
That’s a great question, and one we often get asked. The answer is “it depends.” House painting isn’t a cookie cutter process since most houses are unique and this means we have to be able to visit the specific property in question to offer a price. Getting a free house painting estimate is an easy way to see what it would cost to paint your home without any obligation or commitment from you.
